Whether you see yourself working in a leadership role at a company or overseeing a ministry or nonprofit organization, the human communication concentration of the communication major will equip you to step into the role effectively and with confidence. Talk about versatility!
This concentration focuses on the theories of communication and everyday communication interactions and problem solving. Coursework will prepare you for leadership and management positions in settings that range from global organizations to the political arena, human resources and ministry – and any other field where communication is critical.

Careers in media and communication are expected to continue to grow at a steady rate over the next decade, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. About 114,300 openings are projected each year, on average, in these occupations between 2022 and 2032. Employers are looking for college graduates who are creative and familiar with the changing media landscape.
According to the BLS, employment opportunities for public relations specialists will grow 6% between 2022 and 2032.

Don’t Give Up
On the way home from the hospital last spring, as the family began the ascent into their suburban McMinnville neighborhood, two white yard signs with bold lettering caught their eyes.
“You are worthy of love,” read one.
“Your mistakes don’t define you,” read the other.
As they drove in and out of the neighborhood during the painful weeks that followed, those signs beamed hope.

The best thing about the communications program at 性视界传媒 is how much effort the professors put into not only the teaching, but the creation of community through their classes as well. The skills I gained from the communications program will follow me throughout my career, and the relationships I built with the communication students and professors will be forever held dear to my heart.
